Peachland Volleyball (Extra-Curricular)
At Peachland we offer developmental and competitive volleyball to all our grade 5/6 students. The coaching focus at Peachland is always team play, cooperation, and good sportsmanship at both the developmental and competitive levels. We strive to thoroughly teach the basic skills of the sport to all who want to learn.
Our grade5/ 6 girls and boys' teams play teams from Helen Gorman Elementary, Glenrosa Elementary and George Pringle Elementary School. We all have the same desire to develop their volleyball skills while competing for the pure enjoyment of the game.
Peachland Basketball (Extra-Curricular)
The Grade 6 Boys and Girls' Basketball begins in January and wraps up with a tournament that is hosted by Grade 12 leadership students at Mount Boucherie Secondary School. As with volleyball, the coaching focus is on skill development, team play and good sportsmanship.
Again, no matter at what level of basketball your child plays, he/she will receive the best possible coaching from our dedicated coaches at Peachland
Peachland Track and Field
Soon after the Easter break, intermediate Peachland students compete in a whole school track and field program that focuses on fitness and skill development. Each day during the program, students begin by stretching and warming up for their track activity of the day. Students are divided into groups where they practice sprinting, long distance running, relays, high jumping, long jumping, discus and shot put. Records are kept of their achievements and at the end of the program our school attends the Apple Bowl with Glenrosa Elementary School.
In June, select students will join other elementary schools within the district to compete in one District Track and Field Competition to represent Peachland Elementary School.
It takes a great deal of time, effort, and dedication from our teachers to organize and carry out this program. Thank you teachers for your efforts, the students really appreciate and enjoy the whole experience.
